Imperial is led by Ramasamy Chockalingam (Chockz), a chartered accountant and senior finance executive with over 25 years of international experience. His background combines professional practice, multinational finance leadership and board responsibilities, helping businesses strengthen performance and navigate growth across international markets.
His career includes experience with the Big Four and MGI Worldwide, six years as a practising auditor in Singapore, and senior CFO and Finance Director responsibilities across Asia and the Middle East. At Telstra International, he served as Chief Financial Officer for APAC, including India and the UAE, overseeing finance, governance, tax, legal, risk and compliance across a regional structure of 35 Asian entities.
His more recent responsibilities include financial strategy, fundraising and governance for subsea telecommunications infrastructure at Inligo Networks Holdings. He also brings experience in Singapore holding company oversight, fintech business structuring and international expansion, alongside financial and commercial oversight of oil terminal operations in Fujairah.
Building on this finance and consulting foundation, his business interests now extend across a wider group of companies in Singapore, the UAE, the UK, India and Malaysia, with additional corporate involvement in Germany. The group’s expanding scope includes investments in shipping, aviation-related engineering, gold trading and refining, energy, education and agriculture, alongside investment holding and business advisory activities. This wider sector exposure supports Imperial’s growing focus on client investment opportunities in film and entertainment, aviation and shipping.
Chockz is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, and holds an MBA. His approach remains practical and commercially focused: strengthening financial controls, guiding corporate structuring and helping management teams identify opportunities for sustainable expansion.
